1. Circle of fifths quiz

Interactive · click a key name, the circle reveals where it sits

Test your knowledge of major and minor keys and their key signatures. Choose a key by name, then place it correctly on the circle — with adjustable difficulty so you can start with the basics and work up to all 7 sharps and flats.

2. Note reading (staff)

Interactive · name the note on the treble or bass clef staff

Name notes on the treble clef, bass clef, or full grand staff. Practice with or without key signatures, filter by lines or spaces only, and add ledger lines as you improve — a solid way to build real reading speed and confidence.

Grand staff shows both clefs together, stacked like piano music, with the note landing on whichever staff it belongs to.

With ledger lines at 0, notes stay within the 5 lines and 4 spaces of each staff. Each ledger line added extends the range further, including middle C.

When a key signature is active, notes in that key are sharp/flat automatically, without a symbol on the note itself — just like real sheet music.

Pick a max sharps and/or max flats above — questions will mix in every count from 1 up to that number (so 4 flats includes 1, 2, 3, and 4 flat key signatures). Set both back to 0 to turn key signatures off.
