Bio
Sam Pendrill is a professional piano tutor and vocal coach based in Wilmslow. He's a graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music (BA Hons Popular Music), where he specialised in both voice and piano, and has been teaching professionally for three years.
Sam is fully DBS checked, with safeguarding training in place for lessons with children.
Teaching approach
Sam teaches students of all ages and abilities — adult beginners, people returning to music after years away, and children starting from their very first notes. Lessons are built around what you actually want out of them, whether that's working through ABRSM grades, preparing for an audition or a music degree, or simply being able to sit down and play something you love.
He specialises in pop, and also teaches classical, jazz and musical theatre. As a trained vocalist as well as a pianist, he can cover singing alongside piano, or either on its own.
He's particularly good with younger students, and equally at home helping an adult who's been meaning to start for years.
Performing
Alongside teaching, Sam performs regularly. He has played with chart-topping artists including Cian Ducrot and Self Esteem, appeared on the Christmas edition of BBC Songs of Praise alongside Tony Hadley, and performs original music at venues across Manchester and the North West.
